I was born and raised in Beaufort, SC, and now reside in Beaufort with my husband. Before becoming a coach, I was an elementary school teacher. It was my own health struggles that led me to coaching.
My love of wellness began in college when I picked up running. Running led into weight lifting and becoming a personal trainer. I picked up the practice of yoga and Pilates and was an avid spin participant. I dealt with athletic bulimia and hypoglycemia. At the age of 30, I experienced major life changes and went into a depression and gained weight. While teaching I experienced constant injuries which kept me away from running. Every afternoon I had a bloated belly and I developed a rash just on my legs and it always disappeared during the summer.
I left teaching in 2016, and became certified as a health coach and a 200 hour yoga instructor. In 2017, I started my practice and in 2020, I became board certified.
When I am not working with clients, I am hanging with my husband, family and friends. I enjoy playing on our boat, paddleboarding, exercising, cooking, reading, listening to podcasts and traveling. I love learning. I have two master degrees. My first is in Public Administration and my second one is in Teaching. I am a director of a nonprofit. My 19 year old cousin was murdered in 2020, and I started a nonprofit in his honor. The mission of the nonprofit is to raise money through running for scholarship funds to faith based schools.
